Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what BeatSync does and does not do with your data.
BeatSync listens to the sounds around you in real time to detect beats in music, then pulses your iPhone flashlight in sync. That is the entirety of what the app does.
BeatSync uses your iPhone's microphone solely to detect beats in real time. Audio is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. The moment you stop the app, audio processing stops completely. We have no access to anything your microphone picks up.
BeatSync uses the rear camera flash as a flashlight. No photos or video are ever captured, recorded, or accessed. The camera itself is never opened — only the flash hardware is used.
BeatSync collects no personal data of any kind. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Nothing you do in the app is ever sent off your device.
Because we collect no data, there is nothing to share, sell, or disclose to any third party — ever.
BeatSync does not collect any information from anyone, including children. The app is safe for all ages.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
